Official-Launch
Our community's official-launch date is set for 12-21-11.

Pre-Pre-Launch Stats
In spite of us being only a couple of weeks old, we have tested and shared a few links from our posts to Twitter and Facebook and like a wildfire our posts are being re-tweeted in record time. Every time we send out a link to a post it receives a minimum of 2,000 to 4,000 views(per link) per day. After only one week we currently receive approximately 8,000 to 10,000 views per day (visit our popular page and check view stats and retweet stats next to each post). In the past 7 days the average time spent on our site has been 10:50 minutes.

Alexa
Two weeks ago Alexa didn't even record our stats. Two weeks later we went from 0 ranking to 648,022. Imagine where we'll be in just a few weeks time!

Our Slider
On our front page you will see what we call a 'slider,' which features 4-5 posts. These 4-5 posts are reserved for our contest winners, those who pay for advertising and those we choose to promote. See below for more details.

Contests (equals free advertising)
Contests are for members and work as follows. The most active member of the month will get to choose one of his or her posts, which s/he would like to promote. We simply make his/her post appear in the slider for one full week. Contest space cannot be bought, they are the result of our members' feedback and sharing.

Free Advertising
Members have the option to use their signature as a link to lead to their web page (or any web page they choose). Simply go into your profile and choose 'signature' and then create a signature with a link to anywhere you'd like your visitors be redirected to. Please note that there are some character restrictions as to how long your message can be. Please review the guidelines below as some link results can have your profile banned. Members are not allowed to place promotional type links within a post. The only links permitted within the actual posts are related to Wikipedia, etc.

Advertising No-No's
Do not sign up to be a free member only to advertise your products. Posts that list advertised products will be deleted and you will get a warning. We expect members to be a part of our community because they want to learn and share of their wisdom (not to advertise their products). Not abiding by these rules will get you banned from our community.

Paid Advertising
Every member and non-member has the choice of paying for advertising (please see below for restrictions). We want to keep our community as advertising free as possible and will individually approve ads on a case by case basis.

Slider Advertising via Post
You also have the choice to advertise your product within our slider, as part of a post, which we promote. In other words, let's say you have an eBook for sale at another site and you want to create a post with the amazing results your clients have achieved with your product, you can write that post and create links within your post (up to two links are permitted within the post itself in addition to the link you choose in your signature). Your post will also be open to other people's feedback. For a sample post you can go here to see a sample of such a post. Please note that we have to do manual work to get your post into the slider and since self promotion and selling using posts is not permitted on this board, we only allow 1 post for advertising purposes per week. Your post will remain in the slider for 1 week. Anyone posting self promoting sales posts without getting approved (and paying) for actual advertising space will get warned, the post will be removed and if it happens again we will ban the member.

Banner Advertising
At this time we do not want to feature banner advertising on our site. We may change this approach in the future. Please check back with us or contact us directly.

Sponsor our Newsletter (goes to all members)
You will also be able to sponsor one of our newsletters, which goes out to our members on a monthly basis. Our current membership is too low given that we have not even past our official-launch date yet. However, as soon as our readership reaches at least 500 members we will post an update here.

Market Place and Classifieds
We are working at creating a forum where all members can freely market their services and products (for a fee). Restrictions will apply (such as no weapons, drugs, etc.). We will make the announcement when we are ready to receive marketplace advertising or you may contact us for more information.

Promotions
Promotions can but do not have to appear in the slider. All promoted posts appear on the front page and look like the beginnings of the actual post with the little picture in it, provided there is a picture in the actual post. Promoted posts are exactly like regular posts except that only staff members can 'promote' the actual post and decide to have it appear on our home page. If you want to create a post and pay for it to be promoted and have it appear on our front page, please contact us.

Individual Post Promotion
As you can see on our most popular posts tab some of our posts are viewed thousands of time. We promote some of our posts to Facebook, Twitter and other sources, including our own membership. Our posts are popular because they speak to the heart of real issues and people love an opportunity to 'get real.' Hence, our posts get re-tweeted like wild fires quite frequently. If you want us to promote your post in such a way, we would be happy to do so at 50 cents per viewed post. Your post may include no more than two links in the body and another link in your signature. Please note that we only promote your post once per day. Your base rate is $60, which is equivalent to 3,000 views. This you will pay before the post is being promoted. The next morning we will send you an invoice for the total views at 50 cents per click, less the $60 you already paid. Any clicks you receive beyond the first 24 hours are yours free of charge. IMPORTANT: Your post must be approved by our staff. Posts that are not in alignment with our overall Blorum will not get approved and posts that feature too aggressive sale tactics will be required to get amended.

Rates
Our rates vary from $5 to $500, depending on what medium of advertising you choose and how much you want us to promote your post. We can also do a custom designed advertising package featuring your product in a few areas.

• Marketplace and Classifieds: When opened to the public, $5 per post.
• Newsletter Sponsorship: Including a paragraph about you and/or your company and product, 50 cents per member.
• Slider Promotion: $100 per week
• Banner Advertisement: not permitted at this time
• Individual Post Promotions: 50 cents per click for the first 24 hours only
• Combination Package: Please contact us (see bottom of page) for a custom package

Rules and Guidelines for Advertising - Contest - Promotions
Members are not permitted or allowed to self promote beyond creating a linkable signature in their profile. Do not paste affiliate links of any kind into the posts. Self promotion and sales will get you banned from this community in record time. If you want something advertised, please contact us with your exact ad copy and idea. All advertising, whether posts, banners, newsletter sponsorships, marketplace or classifieds, need to be individually approved by our staff.

Advertising is not a matter of money to us, we choose advertising that fosters a community spirit and is beneficial and helpful for our community members. Therefore the following topics, products, etc. are not permitted on our blorum:

Not Permitted on Our Site
The following are NOT permitted on our site. Anything related to diminishing the spirit or health of living bodies, including our planet (this includes topics that affect the mind, psyche and the health of humans, animals and the planet as a whole). Needless to say topics such as drugs, including social drugs, alcohol, weapons, pornography, etc. are not permitted.

Special note to psychics and those ordering these services: While we strongly believe in the gift itself, we also know that very few actually use their gift in the right way and often do not use it in the most ethical way. Our mind and the fragility of our human psyche needs to be treated with care and we can't possibly vouch for the ability and accuracy of everyone who claims to have psychic gifts. It would take a huge amount of time to individually verify each psychic's gift and review their client feedback. We simply do not have the staff nor the time to do so. If you choose to accept services from a psychic you do so at your own risk.

Exception: Under the rare occasion that you should ever see any posts by our creator or admin staff about any psychics, then you will know that we talk about it from first hand experience and not because we accepted advertisement fees from them.
