According to this article the well know Pyramids of Egypt are under threat. Seeing from history we have had Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Mayans and various other religions destroying the religious work of those not theirs.

With the rise of 'radical' Islamisme in Egypt, the call has been made to destroy the pyramids. Which, in my opinion could invoke drastic reactions. First off all, they are one of Egypts best known tourism products (though tourism has dropped massively since the revolution last year) and secondly because they are on the UNESCO list of World Heritage.

There are other reports of 'radical' Islamist destroying shrines of Muslim Saints near a mosque in Timbuktu. Claiming that prayers need to go to Allah and not the Saints. Religious secularism is rising throughout the Arab World again. We have western countries (mostly Christian) demanding democracy in many Arab countries (though at the same time denying democracy in countries they are allied with) whilst being backed up by Arab countries. The best known example of today is Syria. A country where religion did not matter and now churches, mosques and synagoges are not safe anymore. One might ask if humanity is falling again or not, though then I must remember the following sentence; "It is darkest before the dawn." Then a new question comes forth, how much darker must it get before the new dawn?

In every circle of life, Rebirth follows Death - in energy you have to 'let go of something, before you can gain something new' or as you say 'It is darkest before the dawn'. It would be very sad if the pyramids were destroyed and personally I do hope this is not so, as it is a symbol of wisdom to me. But even with the pyramids gone, I will still gain my wisdom and I will always be able to see them for my inner eye - you see nothing can be taken away from you, if you do not want it to.

It is never surprising to me that BELIEF is what runs every human being on this planet. With the most powerful belief system in place being that of religion, then political beliefs.

If we all could examine our beliefs and truly, soberly look at what merit our own beliefs truly have and what they are built on, perhaps we would have a humanity that would rebuild their lives based on no beliefs at all. Just letting life unfold before and the Universe run its rhythm through us...

    Imagine that...

Glad that the pyramids will be fine. What a shame to destroy these beautiful works of art! I wonder how some BELIEF have been twisted from the simple truth so it can manipulate believers in doing the selfish interests of those who propagate these beliefs. Unconditional love, that is all what we need to live harmoniously with man and nature.
